Who doesn’t feel stuck?

Everyone has had the feeling that things aren’t going the way they expected them to and people don’t generally know what to expect in the upcoming years.

So what?

Maybe we are just not smart enough to predict everything that comes our way and that’s ok.

That is what makes life interesting!

But what you really need, is a plan, so here you go.

Narrow your focus

It may seem overwhelming to focus on just one thing. The risk goes up exponentially as there isn’t really a backup plan and for someone who worries himself easily, it might feel like a nightmare.

I don’t necessarily mean ONE thing!

Imagine watering a plethora of plants through one bucket. Chance is none of them get the amount they need. However, if the water was focused, aimed properly, and provided with consistency, one of them could end up reaching its maximum potential and that just might mean everything to you.

If you have a bunch of things to keep in order that is perfectly ok. You can make that work by making an effective schedule for your day.

Schedule your ideal day

Having a routine has much more benefits than it has drawbacks. People misinterpret the idea behind keeping a routine.

A routine is not formed to make yourself feel imprisoned and void yourself from any type of fun. That’s not the point.

The point of a routine is to have your ideal day. The way that works is, you make a list of things that you NEED to accomplish every day, and having this is important and then you schedule times to keep it in order.

Once you do that, you will feel better each day.

It is perfectly normal to be distracted whilst doing some of your scheduled tasks, you can get around that by making time for distractions.

Block out some time specifically reserved in which you deal with these distractions.

Be optimistic

Pessimism is armageddon for the soul.

When you become pessimistic, you tell yourself that you have nothing to be excited about, every day feels like another boring and mundane one.

Let go of that!

Make it a goal for yourself to be more optimistic each day, be happier. Life is too short to dwell in self-doubt and pessimism.

Self-doubt creeps in when you have a fear of what the result will be. Forget the result and just work each day on your goals. Make a list of the tasks you should accomplish each day and stick to it.

Sometimes you feel unproductive during the day but that’s ok. Sometimes taking a rest isn’t such a bad idea. In other cases, taking a rest is essential.

Promise yourself that you will complete your daily tasks and pause any feeling of self-doubt you have until after those tasks are completed.

We often think about the future and dwell on the many things that aren’t in our control. What this does is, it makes you lose focus of stuff you can!

Imagine a life without self-doubt and know that that isn’t hard to attain.

Read

There isn’t one successful person that will tell you reading is a waste of time. Reading allows you to explore the minds of people smarter than you and people who have experienced things that you haven’t or possibly never will.

It allows you to dive into a new world and thus teaches you new things!

Have you ever felt what you were doing wasn’t going to bear any fruits? Maybe you have a problem setting goals, maybe you don’t know what gets you excited.

Well then, guess what? Reading is the solution to all those problems. When you take a leap of faith into someone else’s mind, they can help you beat that problem.

The important thing with reading is its execution. If the only thing you are doing is reading, it won’t result in much.

Ideas rot and become obsolete in the mind of a lazy man.

Being lazy isn’t a trait, it is just a lack of practice.

Wake up early

I’m not going to tell you that if you wake up at 4 am for a year you are going to become wildly successful. That is hokum and anyone who has said that to you doesn’t know what he is talking about.

The actual logic behind waking up early is not this.

Mel Robbins gave an excellent analogy in this regard.

Think about how kids react when they are told they are going on vacation. That very day everyone is excited, and that excitement is shown in the fact that the majority of kids wake up early and prepare themselves for an amazing day!

The same is the case here, when you wake up early you tell your brain, this is going to be an amazing day and you get excited.

Starting on a positive note is essential for a positive day!

Sometimes just relax and calm yourself

Stress is tiring.

When you let too much stress in you are cooking your brain.

The fortunate thing is that you can easily let go of stress, but the sad truth is people like to hear about stress stories. This can cause us to overstate our cases and exaggerate them.

Learn to relax. Whether you do this by meditating or simply taking a nap, playing a game, or hanging out with your friends, that is totally up to you. I have seen that naps have been more effective for me.

When you are stressing you are focusing on the negative way too much. When you focus on something your brain hands that out to you in abundance.

Look at the positive and see things change for the better.

When you stress yourself by overthinking which I have been very much responsible for and what I still do a lot, you are operating your brain from a position of the rarity of opportunity. This causes your brain to show you a smaller window for change.

Work your mind from a position of abundance and see doors open you never thought were in front of you.

Stop complaining and work hard instead

Every one of us has been given a certain level of control in our lives.

This control is considerable but few recognize that.

When you complain you are giving away control. When you do that, you feel powerless. 90% of our life is in our control, the other 10% may be accounted for uncontrollable cases.

How you use that 90% depends quite a lot on how much you complain.

When you don’t complain you take responsibility and work on what you lack. This way you are always looking at constant improvement.

Work hard at something for a considerable amount of time and you will become amazing at it. Complaining makes you too busy to work hard.
